About This Tool
The iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 48-megapixel main camera that captures images at 8064×6048 pixels in ProRAW or HEIF Max mode. This resolution allows for surprisingly large professional-quality prints — up to 27×20 inches at 300 DPI, or poster-sized 54×40 inches at 150 DPI for wall art.
Many photographers underestimate what their iPhone can do. The 48MP sensor combined with Apple's computational photography produces images sharp enough for gallery prints, photo books, and professional products. This calculator shows exactly how big you can print your iPhone 15 Pro Max photos at each quality level.
Note: By default, iPhone saves photos at 12MP (4032×3024) for storage efficiency. To capture full 48MP resolution, enable "ProRAW & Resolution Control" in Settings > Camera > Formats, then select "48 MP" or "HEIF Max" before shooting.

Formula
iPhone 15 Pro Max (48MP mode):
Native resolution: 8064 × 6048 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio)
At 300 DPI: 8064 ÷ 300 = 26.9" × 6048 ÷ 300 = 20.2"
At 240 DPI: 8064 ÷ 240 = 33.6" × 6048 ÷ 240 = 25.2"
At 150 DPI: 8064 ÷ 150 = 53.8" × 6048 ÷ 150 = 40.3"
Standard 12MP mode (4032 × 3024 pixels):
At 300 DPI: 13.4" × 10.1"
At 150 DPI: 26.9" × 20.2"
